There is currently a free Android app on Google Play with which you can measure your speed perfectly on your bike or e-bike. This GPS speedometer is not only interesting for athletes – so secure the application today and keep it forever.
Keeping an eye on your speed is not only beneficial for drivers. It is also ideal for bike lovers. Be it to be able to follow your own athletic progress or not to exceed speed limits. The latter is especially interesting for e-bike owners.
The Android app GPS Speed Pro determines your speed via satellite data. The values of the GPS chip built into your smartphone are evaluated. On this basis, it is ultimately determined relatively precisely with a slight delay how fast you are currently traveling and whether you still have leeway with the speed limit. GPS Speed Pro also scores with a cool design and a wide range of customization options.
Please note that we can only reflect the current status of such free promotions and have no influence on the developers’ decisions to end them earlier if necessary. You should therefore always check when downloading whether the offer is still valid.
“GPS Speed Pro” for Android: More than just a speedometer app
GPS Speed Procan do more than just show the current speed: with additional details such as the compass direction, you get useful information about your exact location. If you are also traveling abroad, the app gives you the option of displaying the speed not only in km / h but also in mp / h.
So that you have an overview of the recordings, you can not only assign names in the route overview, but also specify the means of transport used.
The menu of the app itself is hidden to the left of the display, you have to swipe to the side to see all options. There you will also find the option to exit the app completely.
Routes can be recorded
After arriving at your destination, you can see the route you have covered again on a map, with useful additional information such as duration or average speed being displayed. Particularly cool: For example, if you cover a distance more often, you can save it and use it as a GPX file export.
Small drawbacks: If you move inside buildings or in tunnels, the display is very imprecise. However, this is not due to the app itself, but to the GPS technology. For the most accurate data possible, you should only use the app outdoors. Please also bear in mind that the battery life of your smartphone can be heavily stressed if the application is used for a long time. Furthermore, the GPS speed can only be displayed correctly with a delay – so the app is rather imprecise when accelerating or braking.
You can only find out whether the app makes your everyday car and bicycle life better by trying it out. Once saved, the app is stored in your Google account.
