The Anker PowerWave Alloy at a glance

The Anker PowerWave Alloy is currently the best Qi charger on the leaderboard – and one of the cheapest. The design is simple but well thought out: The non-slip bottom ensures a secure hold on the table while the silicone top holds the smartphone in place. The only annoying thing is that no power supply was included. At a price of around 30 euros, this is bearable, especially since you can also use the smartphone’s power adapter. In the test, the wireless charger performed well on both Apple iPhones and Samsung Galaxy models.

Our conclusion at the time of the test:

“The Anker PowerWave Alloy impresses in the test with its strong performance, the simple but well-thought-out design and the good efficiency. Our test devices are fully charged within around three hours and, thanks to the silicone surface, lie firmly and securely on the charging pad. We also liked the fact that the device does not consume any electricity without a mobile phone. On the other hand, a fully charged mobile phone still draws 2.7 watts – some other charging mats can do that better. For a price of less than 30 euros, the Alloy charging pad is currently the best choice for simple Qi chargers without any special features.” Read the entire test.
