Google Meet and the filters no one needed

The dual business-consumer nature of Google Meet manifests itself today with the introduction of an unprecedented feature which perhaps the need was not felt (or perhaps yes): the filters. It is currently available exclusively in the mobile applications of the service, on Android and iOS, but we think (and fear) it will soon arrive also on the desktop counterpart.

Filters on Google Meet (filters on Google Meet)

Prepare yourself psychologically for meetings with colleagues who show up with a cat on their head or in the guise of a robot. This is the official announcement issued by the Mountain View group.

Add cats, astronauts, jellyfish and more to your Meet video calls. New filters, masks and effects are now available for Meet on Android and iOS.

Who has never wanted to face one video call working on Meet with a mask like that? Now you can.

As mentioned at the beginning, the move has the undeclared but rather explicit purpose of winking at the users of the area consumer, especially in view of the increasingly likely abandonment of Duo.
