It should come as no surprise that the smartwatch market continues to grow: they are in fact particularly useful accessories for those who live a very active digital life and wants to use the mobile more intelligently and moderately. Receiving notifications on your wrist and not having to constantly look at your phone is a nice and new relaxation Huawei Watch 3 Pro it keeps us away from the smartphone even during calls. The latest version of the Chinese company’s watch comes with the support for e-sims, but also integrated gps and a series of advanced sensors.

The look is that of a premium, elegant product with quality materials: stainless steel body, 3D glass dial. For the first time, the rotating crown which recalls the choice adopted by Apple. The 48mm Pro model is definitely a men’s model, there is also the 46mm starting version for smaller wrists.

The new version of the HarmonyOS 2 operating system which makes the use of the watch easier, more intuitive and attractive. Obviously it works and will work much more fluidly and evolved with Huawei devices but this smartphone can be connected easily to any android phone provided you download the Huawei Health app from the company’s online store.

The company also guarantees full compatibility with the iOS worldHowever, the test was performed by pairing a Huawei phone and a Samsung phone and those who want to be in the Apple world don’t make much sense that they turn to this alternative. The installation and synchronization procedure it is not very fast, requires access and permissions to virtually all phone functions, but is stable and effective.

HarmonyOS 2 ensures the smartwatch a nice interface and a series of rather comfortable and intuitive control gestures that can be enjoyed to the fullest also thanks to the width of the Amoled display, which can also be read in direct sunlight with a peak brightness of 1000 nit. The sensors available on the Huawei Watch 3 Pro allow precise and constant monitoring of various parameters, not only heart rate but also blood oxygenation and skin temperature, rather advanced element. The sleep quality report is also good.

For sports enthusiasts it is certainly an interesting product, not only because it supports and automatically recognizes over 100 activities, but because thanks to the integrated GPS the tracking of the routes is flawless and all sensor data are integrated in an advanced way. Through the application all these elements are displayed clearly, including through a beautiful dynamic animation in the form of video clips.

The watch also offers a “coach-style” voice that encourages the user to engage during the activity, but it is a pity that it is only in English and that you cannot hear the headphones when listening to music.

We said that the Huawei Watch 3 Pro it also supports e-sims that allow you to make and receive calls, but also to be totally independent from the smartphone as regards the data connection. IS definitely one of the pluses of this watch but unfortunately at the moment only Vodafone supports the possibility of having the same number on two sims and this means that a different number should be dedicated to the watch.

To this limit is added one that is strongly limiting at the moment, namely that notifications can only be viewed and read but cannot respond dynamically. This aspect is a real pity and a constraint that at the moment is inherent in the proprietary operating system, therefore not easy and future resolution, quickly.

The other limit is represented by dla small number of applications your phone is compatible with. There are the essential ones but some non-trivial ones are missing, one on all payments with Google Pay. So it makes sense to invest 499 euro (599 euros for the Elite version) in the purchase of this Huawei Watch 3 Pro?

The figure is certainly important even if Huawei offers some promotions to make spending more attractive. The product is of undoubted quality, with advanced functions and with one considerable autonomy. Battery life is an advantage that should not be underestimated: up to 21 days in ultra-long battery life mode, up to 5 days with data connection activated, even if the data depends a lot on the type of use. The final judgment also deserves to be confirmed with the arrival of the next software updates that announce interesting evolutions. Possible promotions (such as these on Prime Day) which could make it a best buy.
