Netflix: New in July 2021 – Tarantino’s latest litter and a lot of horror
It’s summer and the cinemas are reopening nationwide – July 2021 is about to become a challenge for Netflix. In order to compete against the competition, many new film and series highlights will appear again in the new month.
Not only the summer in Germany is currently in full swing. Cinemas all over Germany will open their doors again right on time for July, after having been closed since November due to the corona crisis. And with big hits like the Marvel blockbuster “Black Widow” or “Fast & Furious 9”, they’ll come up with very heavy guns in the coming weeks.
That sounds like a big challenge for Netflix. However, the streaming service does not splash around in the entertainment arms race and is also sending great calibers into the race for the public’s favor. Ironically, they want to bring Quentin Tarantino’s latest directorial work to the platform on July 13th with “Once upon a Time … in Hollywood” – after all, one of the great proponents of cinema, which can also be seen in the film itself.
Otherwise, July on Netflix will be surprisingly creepy: With “Doctor Sleeps Awakening”, the late sequel to “The Shining” will be streaming on July 26th and with “Blood Red Sky” (July 23rd), the “Fear Street” trilogy (July 2nd, 9th and 16th) as well as “A Classic Horror Story” are also published specially produced shockers.
As always, series fans will get plenty of gifts, numerous new seasons or completely new titles are on the program: The third season of “How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast)”, which will be available from July 27th, will also be part of the program. Much earlier, namely on July 9th, “Biohackers” goes into the second round. On the same day it continues with “Atypical” and from July 23rd, the second season of “Sky Rojo” awaits those interested.
