New to eBay: This is how the bonus points program works

Anyone who sells products on eBay in the future can save something even afterwards. Because like the company in one Press release has revealed, a new bonus points program is starting on eBay. You can sign up for the Register the pilot program. Once unlocked, you will receive bonus points with every sale. These correspond to five percent of the sales value.

If you sell an item for 100 euros on eBay, you will then receive bonus points worth five euros. As soon as you make a purchase on eBay’s online marketplace, you can then have these points offset.

eBay: These restrictions apply to the bonus points program

However, there are some framework conditions that eBay has set for the new project. Sales in the areas of cars & motorcycles, real estate, boats and planes are excluded from this. The sellers would probably get too many points here and undermine the system. Likewise, the points won cannot be redeemed in these eBay categories.

In addition, the points are only valid for a total of 60 days. If you carry out another sale during this period, the validity will be extended by a further 60 days. So if you sell regularly, you shouldn’t have any problems. Should eBay end the pilot project after the first tests, the points will also be retained for another 60 days.
