Paramount + arrives in Italy in September with new Italian series


London – With a grand launch, complete with an entire street in Soho closed to traffic for an exclusive blue carpetwas launched in the UK Paramount+the new streaming service that takes its name from the historic film studios but also contains all the contents of the group of the same name, ranging from Showtime to MTV, from Comedy Central to Nickelodeon, as well as many unreleased titles. But the most important news is that the platform will arrive in Italy in September, with a debut scheduled for December in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Available at launch beyond 8 thousand hours of contentincluding the best of entertainment but also many original Italian productions

Between Italian titles incoming certainly strikes Circeoa series produced by Cattleya with VIS, Paramount + and Rai Fiction that traces all the phases of the process following the terrible news story of 1975: the protagonist will be Greta Scarano in the role of Teresa Capogrossi, a lawyer who fights with conviction for the reform of the law on sexual violence and who will take the defense of Donatella Colasanti (Ambrosia Caldarelli). The romantic comedy is also on the way 14 dayswritten and directed by Ivan Cotroneo, premiered at the last Turin Film Festival, which tells the story of a couple in crisis, made up of Marta (Carlotta Natoli) and Lorenzo (Thomas Trabacchi), forced to two weeks of forced confinement; and the series set in the world of artistic gymnastics Free Body, thriller based on the book of the same name by Ilaria Bernardini with the directorial debut of fiction by Cosima Spender and Valerio Bonelli, former authors of the docuseries SanPa.

Then they will come from Mexico Sinaloa’s First Lady on El Chapo’s infamous Beauty Queen Bride, Emma Coronel, and One Must Die, thriller film centered on seven people who are kidnapped and suddenly find themselves part of a deadly game.

Right from the start, however, Paramount + will be able to count on a huge catalog of old and new titles with some of the most popular franchises in the world, from Star Trek a South Parkda Transformers to the programs of Mtvda Spongebob a Scream, and with some of Hollywood’s most popular stars. Among the unreleased series that we will see on the service there will be The Offerwith Miles Teller, Juno Temple and Matthew Goode, on the making of the Godfather; 1883 and coming soon 1923 with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, both spin-offs of the hugely popular Yellowstone; Tulsa King which sees Sylvester Stallone debut in seriality, as a mafia boss released from prison and catapulted into a picturesque city. And again the prequel Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladiesthe new series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds e Star Trek: Prodigy, The Man Who Fell to Earth con Naomie Harris, Chiwetel Ejiofor e Bill Nighy, Rabbit Hole con Kiefer Sutherland, First Lady with Michelle Pfeiffer, Viola Davis and Gillian Anderson, the Showtime titles American Gigolo e Super Pumped with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Uma Thurman. You will then flow here too Halothe series based on the legendary video game.

True to its cinematic tradition, Paramount + will also host major film cult stars such as Grease, The Godfatherand the sagas of Star Trek, Top Gun e Transformersas well as new releases such as Scream 5.
