“Bull” was inspired by the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw inspired. In the series, Dr. Bull, a high-profile litigation consultancy hired to determine which jurors would be best suited for their clients and what arguments attorneys should use to win those jurors over.

“For six seasons, Bull has established itself as a ratings maker with his new take on the trial unlike anything seen on television,” CBS said in a statement. “Thank you to the talented cast members Michael Weatherly, Geneva Carr, Yara Martinez, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Christopher Jackson, MacKenzie Meehan, the incredible creative team led by Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard, and our hard-working crew for bringing these innovative stories to life. We also thank our loyal viewers and look forward to bringing them one final series of compelling episodes filled with the humor, intelligence and twists and turns that have made the drama a fan favorite.”

It is not yet known where Weatherly will go next. But he may be going back to an old place of work: long-time boss Gibbs (Mark Harmon) has just left “NCIS”. From the original cast only McGee, Palmer and partly Ducky are there. DiNozzo’s return would be a real coup for the station.
