The equipment of the Xiaomi Poco F3 can convince with some modern interfaces and useful functions, but also leaves some gaps open.
In terms of radio, it offers the latest standards: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and even 5G mobile communications are on board, and NFC is used for short-distance communication, for example when making mobile payments. Dual SIM is also supported, but only 4G reception is possible with the second nano SIM.
Unfortunately, there is no memory card slot for SD cards, but our test device had a capacity of 256 GB – 211.2 GB after the initial setup – but enough space for apps, series and other media. USB-C is used as the main interface, via which cable headphones must also be connected.
You can unlock the Poco F3 either using face recognition or the fingerprint sensor on the side. The case itself is of high quality, especially for the price range, and does not reveal any gaps or annoying bumps. Unfortunately, it is not protected against dust or water in a certified manner. The Corning Gorilla Glass 5 helps against impact damage.
Our testers also liked the dual speakers. This ensures adequate stereo sound with Dolby Atmos certification, which is neither too quiet nor too clinky. Finally, the high touch sampling rate of the display is also worth mentioning. With a frequency of 360 Hertz, inputs are processed particularly quickly, which can be advantageous in online gaming, for example.
